Shenzhen Zhirong Automation Technology Co., Ltd. designs, manufactures and services direct-drive motors for machine builders. We are based in Shenzhen and we work mostly on custom programmes.
ZRT is a direct-drive motor company: research, design, manufacture and service under one roof, with our own intellectual property in the motor and the drive. We supply DD torque motors into advanced manufacturing, where the machine has to hold position to a tolerance that a geared axis cannot reach.
The founding engineering team came from Kollmorgen and South China University of Technology. Motor electromagnetic design is led by a PhD; drive development, commissioning and motion tuning are led by three MSc engineers; motor machining and application support sit alongside them. That combination is the reason we can quote a motor and a drive as a single motion set rather than as two parts that have to be made to work together later.
The range started with inspection equipment and moved into machine tools as the torque requirement grew — the same pattern most of our customers follow when they replace a geared axis with a direct-drive one.
Seven motor families, from a frameless rotor-and-stator pair to a fully housed rotary axis, plus linear and pancake designs. Around them sit the drive, the feedback choice and the mechanical options — brake, shaft seal, connector style, hollow shaft.
Most shipments are not catalogue parts. Our engineers release 20 to 30 new designs a year, which is what makes a drawing-led conversation normal rather than exceptional.
You send the load case: inertia, duty cycle, accuracy target, envelope, cabling constraints, ambient conditions. We come back with a motor and drive proposal and the sizing behind it. A sample is built and measured before it ships. Series production then repeats the same inspection process with the measurement data recorded per unit.
If a standard rotary servo with a screw is the cheaper correct answer, we will say so — we supply those too.
